OBJECTIVES OF OUR PROGRAMME

The Leica Academy has taken on board that Europe is a witness to major changes in society and employment as a result of the combined effect of the rapid growth of technology and the globalization of the economy. The result is a more away the traditional “career” and the concept of a “job for life” towards a more flexible situation with individuals needing to take control of a life long progression through a series of learning, training and work experience.

Students graduating from Leica will able to keep up with fast changes in technology, markets and society, because the Academy places great emphasis on abilities and transferable skills. Students graduating from Leica will be able to use those abilities and skills in a life long progression of learning, training and work. The Leica Academy uses a combination of lectures seminars and tutorials, as well as practical sessions in the studios and darkrooms with a great emphasis on doing rather than discussing.
